Effects of Coupling Combined Heat and Power Production with District Cooling

Over the past decades, combined heat and power production (CHP) has proven itself to be an efficient means of meeting both demands. However, high efficiency can achieved with CHP plants when load is sufficient, while lower-priority must deal excess associated generation. This used for district cooling absorption chillers. Although chiller technology using generation, its very sensitive driving hot water temperature. paper provides a detailed analysis how generation in chillers affects primary energy consumption. study based on operational parameters Mustamäe plant (Tallinn, Estonia) demand Tehnopol science business campus proposes sufficient capacity estimation campus’ demand.
